Explore what we offerHe grew up in Vellakkal, a village near Nallampalli in Dharmapuri. His family was not wealthy, and he did not study in a big-city school. He earned his B.E. in Electronics & Communication at Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology, right here in Dharmapuri — the same district he would one day build his company in. He has always believed that talent is spread evenly across this country — opportunity is not. If the talent was already here, the company could be here too.
His career did not begin with a salary. He started with nothing, then ₹10,000 a month. He was not in a hurry to be paid — he was in a hurry to learn. Banking technology was where he found his calling, and he gave it everything.
Over the next four years, he immersed himself entirely in the world of banking, refusing to stay confined to any single corner of the industry. He built new foundations, carried legacy systems safely into the modern era, and connected the everyday screens customers touch with the complex machinery humming behind the scenes. From the digital experiences people rely on daily to the deepest layers of infrastructure, he needed to understand every moving part with his own hands. If it kept a bank alive and breathing, he wanted to know how it worked from the ground up.
That curiosity carried him across borders — Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, and every corner of India. New countries, new banks, new problems, and the same quiet promise each time: get it right. Every one of those projects earned its appreciation — but what stayed with him was what that recognition meant: a young engineer from a village in Dharmapuri could stand alongside anyone, anywhere, and deliver work the world respected.
It was that track record that took him to Bhutan, as IT General Manager of the Bhutan Development Bank. There he led the bank's technology transformation end to end — re-engineering its entire core banking system and modernising the platform the whole institution ran on. The work he is proudest of reached the ground: his team built applications in-house so bank staff could carry the bank into remote villages, letting people deposit and withdraw cash at their doorstep — for the first time, banking reached communities that had never had a branch. They automated payments on a Java platform, and put mobile banking into people's hands.
Technology only matters when it reaches the last person, in the last village.
That lesson brought him home. In 2019 he started Whitestone Software Solutions in his own village, Vellakkal, on his own land, with a team of five. No investors, no outside money — and that was the point. Bootstrapping gave Whitestone the freedom that matters most: to build patiently, on its own terms, beholden to no one. It let the company treat banking software as what it truly is — a craft: built carefully, made to last, never rushed to hit a number. Just a small team, and a belief that world-class banking software could be built from a Tamil Nadu village.
Four years later, Whitestone has grown into a three-storey office in Nallampalli and a team of over a hundred — still bootstrapped, still there, still independent.
He did not build here by accident. He wanted his company to grow his own town and lift the lives of the people around it. Whitestone hires from the colleges of this region — Jayalakshmi, where he studied, along with Bannari Amman, Sona, Knowledge Institute, Paavai, Erode Sengunthar and more. The company takes in freshers and trains them through its own incubation programme, hiring for capability, not for pedigree. Every one of them is a young engineer who earns a world-class career without leaving home to find it.
He intends to keep Whitestone rooted in the countryside. If serious technology can be built from a village, then opportunity does not have to mean migration — it can mean staying, and building, at home. He sees enormous potential ahead in banking — in India and well beyond it — and Whitestone is showing that serious banking technology can be built in-house, from India, not simply bought in but understood to its core.
For all the company has grown, his own life has stayed simple. He still lives in the same village he comes from. He still spends his days in the Nallampalli office beside the team — sitting with the freshers, learning what they are building — and still gives back to the students and colleges around him whenever he can. The point was never to leave this place behind, but to grow with it.
At Whitestone, they don't just write code — they own the problems they solve. He thinks in decades, not quarters. Banking runs on trust, and trust is earned slowly — one flawless go-live, one honest deadline, one problem faced instead of excused. The company is still early in its story, but the road ahead is already clear: more world-class banking technology built from small-town India, more careers created where they are needed most, and the name of a Dharmapuri village carried to banks around the world. The direction has been the same since the first day: build deep, build from here, and let the work speak.
